Belties (cattle)
We breed Belted Galloway cattle - or “licorice allsorts” cows, as Ric calls them. Belties are
a Scottish breed of excellent temperament and are a great breed for a number of reasons,
including their compact size which is perfect for small holdings, they are very easy
breeders, and their double coats means they donʼt need an extra layer of fat during our
very cold winters so the meat is marbled instead and always very tender.
We've been breeding Belties since 2006 and in this time we've had virtually no problems with calving and have been impressed with the temperament and sturdiness of the breed.

Purebred Belted Galloway steers - now taking orders for 2010 calves. Gorgeous cattle with very
quiet temperament and make very pretty lawnmowers and pets for small land owners. $850 incl GST. We also take orders for farm fresh meat which is butchered by our local country butcher in Mittagong.
